ABOUT THE SHOW
TRICH
Written and Performed by Becca Schneider*
Created by Jenn Haltman, Casey Pfeifer, and Becca Schneider
This is a solo show about living with Trich. You might not know what that is, but don’t worry, I’ll tell you when you get here. You’ll meet a teenage girl with an undeniable secret that no one seems to notice, so she hides in her basement cubicle wondering if anyone will come downstairs. Whoa, did this get too dark too fast? I only have a 90-word limit for this blurb, so let me explain more succinctly that – oops, out of time. Guess I’ll have to see you there!

History of the play
Our first in-person reading in August 2021 | Photo by Diana Chan
October 2019 — Jenn asks Becca if she would consider telling her story for B2B’s next potential production, one they could devise together. Casey Pfeifer (actor, writer, and longtime friend) brings up a similar idea with Becca the same week. Thus begins this newly found trio and the TRICH adventure.
November 2019 — We start with monthly writing prompts for Becca which amasses over 60 pages of text.
March 2020 — Lockdown begins, and we meet every week (virtually) to slowly mold those pages into a script.
January 2021 — We enter the next phase: sharing the piece beyond the three of us so we can start getting much-desired feedback. A friend reads the play to us over Zoom so Becca can hear it aloud.
February-June 2021 — We host three (very) small Zoom readings and continue to hone and tighten the script thanks to each batch of notes.
August 2021 — We reunite in person! Becca, Casey, and Jenn dive head first into a one-week workshop culminating in two in-person staged readings.
November 2021 — TRICH becomes the top-selling solo show at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC.
