We choose projects that scare us.
Through empathy, humor, and bold simplicity, we share stories that embrace the impossibilities of life, love, and art. We foster a community of artists who choose to take risks and, through the work, incite conversation about our world. We want you to be a part of that conversation.
Jenn Haltman and Becca Schneider go way back, having both graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. They officially became friends when Becca was Jenn's Casting Intern at New York Theatre Workshop in 2006. After seven years of seeing plays together and post-theatre chats while simultaneously identifying NYC's finest burger, their friendship and mutual admiration deepened, and they decided it was time to make a play together. In November 2013, they began co-producing The Understudy, which went up in May 2014 at The Secret Theater. After that success, they chose to join forces again, this time giving themselves a name, Between Two Boroughs, to represent their respective home bases (Astoria, Queens and Cobble Hill, Brooklyn) and the ever-so-long trek between the two.
Becca is an actor and producer. With Between Two Boroughs, she has produced and performed in Cannibal Galaxy: a love story, Summertime, and The Understudy. Other NYC and regional credits include The Music Man (Sharon Playhouse), Refuge, Platonov, A Christmas Carol (Blessed Unrest), Romeo & Juliet (Westport Country Playhouse), Big River (Fairfield Theatre Company), Gruff! the Musical (Doppelskope), Convention (Brontosaurus Haircut Produtctions), The Tempest, Taming of the Shrew (Connecticut Free Shakespeare), No Fear Shakespeare’s Richard III (Facing Page Productions), As You Like It, As I Lay Dying, Three Sisters (Columbia Stages), Cyrano de Bergerac (National Theatre for Arts & Education Tour), and Psycho Beach Party (Theatre Outlet). Becca is a proud Muhlenberg College graduate and member of Actors’ Equity. @beccaschneids. www.becca-schneider.com
