We are beyond thrilled to to be in pre-production for Cannibal Galaxy: a love story by Charise Greene. The story centers around a group of employees at a Washington, D.C. Science Museum. What begins as a lighthearted gaze into a typical work week is catapulted into a senseless universe after a random act of violence occurs. We witness these characters struggle to collect the fragments of a shattered world as they strive to return to their day-to-day lives.
An Ensemble Studio Theatre Sloan finalist, Cannibal Galaxy: a love story was developed by Fault Line Theatre at Xavier University, where the world premiere was produced in September (to rave reviews!) prior to our planned New York premiere in 2018.
We believe that art is a powerful tool for change, and given our country’s current climate of violence, we are eager to bring people together and reflect upon what has become a national epidemic. The recent tragedy in Las Vegas only further underscores our need to produce this play. With each violent act that occurs on our soil, we are reminded how terrifyingly important it is to tell this story right now.
